Triangle Compounding Pharmacy has partnered with Lumara Health™ to be a credentialed distributor of Makena® (17P; hydroxyprogesterone caproate). In addition to dispensing Makena®, our company will be billing NC Medicaid, which now covers Makena®. Triangle Compounding Pharmacy offers providers and patients with easy access and excellent service.
Makena® (hydroxyprogesterone caproate injection) is a prescription hormone medicine (progestin) used to reduce the risk of preterm birth in women who are pregnant with one baby and who have delivered one baby too early (preterm) previously. An office visit with a provider is required and after a patient has been assessed the physician can determine if a prescription for Makena® should be written. The provider can call, fax or submit electronically the prescription.
